Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
Pick from Entebbe International Airport, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through Lake Mburo National Park. The first stop over will be at the Equator, where a few water experiments will be done. You will enjoy the photo session, a cold drink at one of the tourist shops and then proceed to Mbarara where you will have your lunch and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable NP through the cascading hills that seem never to end. You will arrive late in the evening to check in at the lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla tracking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast drive to the gorilla tracking briefing point. Tracking is captivating and unforgettable experience which is more than repays the effort needed to reach. After tracking visit a craft shop, thereafter, drive to the lodge as you enjoy the breath taking views of Bwindi forest. At the lodge, relax at your patio as you enjoy the balcony and perfect view of Bwindi Impenetrable forest as you wait for dinner.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ruhiija. This drive takes you through the Eastern Sector of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest with fantastic view. This drive is long but rewarding you will view Bwindi endemic birds and primates along the way. Arrive in Ishasha and be rewarded with the sightings of Ishasha’s most famous residents the tree climbing lions-lounging in the branches. Enjoy the attendant cast of wildlife behaviors and when you get to the scope and vast overlooking maramagambo forest with the Great Rift Valley escarpment view of Kichwamba. Proceed and check in at the lodge late in the evening for overnight.
Day 4: Morning game drive & Afternoon Boat Cruise in Queen Elizabeth NP
After breakfast drive to Kasenyi plains for game drive. Enjoy the fantastic view of Ruwenzori Mountains set against the back drop of jagged wildlife viewing in Kasenyi. Huge herds of Uganda kobs attract pride of lions, guinea fowl scuttle through the grassland and huge elephants strides across the game tracks. Drive to Kasenyi craft village and enjoy the crater salt lake view below Kichwamba escarpment. Afterwards proceed to Lake George the famous bird sanctuary.
After lunch drive to Mweya peninsula for boat ride along Kazinga Channel to enjoy the wildlife safari here. Mweya is Queen’s focal point. This cruise gives an opportunity to view hippos, buffaloes and water birds as elephants stride along the banks. The cruise takes two hours and boat trip ends in Lake Edward. After the boat drive back to the lodge along channel track Via Katunguru gate, reaching the lodge late in the evening for overnight.
Day 5: Transfer back to Kampala.
After breakfast drive back to Kampala via Kasese-For Portal-Kyenjojo-Mubende- Mityana road. The drive here is very rewarding as you enjoy the fantastic view of the Rwenzori Mountains, often veiled by clouds and mist rises up 5109m above sea level. It is also a homeland of Bakonjo who have lived in the foothills of the mountains and whose culture is adapted to the steep slopes and climate of Ruwenzori before reaching Hima Cement Factory. Proceed to Kampala through the beautiful land of Batooro. Enjoy the fantastic view of tea plantations as you drive to Kyenjojo- Mubende and Mityana arriving in Kampala and Entebbe very late but in time to catch your flight back home.
